It isn't easy, especially for first-timers. Despite tourism’s place at the heart of the country’s booming economy, information on Armenia's exciting new potential is hard to come by.

 

This leaves visitors to the mercy of grossly overpriced tour agencies that sell Armenia short, just barely scratching the surface of everything the country has to offer. Armenia has incredible depth and potential, and travelers digging for that profound, personal connection with it aren't going to have much success aboard a crowded bus en route to monasteries one, two, and three. As beautiful as its ancient churches are, this tiny dot on the map has much more to show off to those searching for a little adventure and I want to tell you about it.
